Indexability
Indexability is whether a URL is technically allowed to enter a search index, judged from its robots rules, meta directives, canonical target, and HTTP status.
Why it matters
Indexability is a verdict you can compute from the page itself, which makes it the half of the problem you can check continuously. Whether the page is actually indexed is a separate fact that only the engine can tell you.
